Social empowerment issues have become the basis for the subsequent economic empowerment of women. MondoChallenge career break volunteers work with local organisations in various parts of the world to help redress the balance. From helping organise groups of rural women in India to running adult education classes in Africa, there are several ways in which you can make a difference volunteering abroad during your career break. As an example, MondoChallenge volunteers help with our livelihood scheme to provide support to widows affected with HIV by helping them set up sustainable businesses as a means of livelihood.
