MondoChallenge recognises the importance of thorough and comprehensive travel insurance and requires all our career break programme participants to take out appropriate cover for their career break programme. You should be insured for all the activities you may undertake during your career break travel and we strongly suggest that you consider cover for each activity you will undertake. Your policy must include aero medical evacuation to your home country in the unlikely event that this is necessary. Also, check that there is a 24/7 telephone worldwide service, which will provide immediate assistance in case of need during your career break.

With this in mind, we have partnered with Endsleigh Insurance Services (part of the Zurich Group) we can offer a policy, which we believe will provide adequate cover for volunteering abroad on your career break.

We must reiterate that if you do not take out cover with Endsleigh Insurance Services, we will need the following:
-    the name of the insurance company
-    the policy number
-    the type of cover
-    the cover period
-    the 24 hour emergency telephone number
-    the evidence that all you activities will be covered

Gap Year or Career Break

This policy has been specially designed for those who are about to undertake a gap year, and will provide cover from 1 day through to one year.

• Three policy options to choose from depending on your type of career break trip; adventure or volunteering
• Specialist cover options available such as winter sports, sports & adventure, baggage and specific electrical items
• 24 hours worldwide English speaking emergency medical claim line

Single Trip – (policy for travellers aged between 55- 80)

Whether it's a short or long haul trip, this policy allows travellers to tailor the policy to their own individual needs.

• Over 80 sports and activities covered as standard
• Specialist cover options available such as winter sports, or for more adventurous activities; sports & adventure cover
• Immediate cover with documents available online once purchased

These covers are designed to take care of all the activities on a typical career break programme with MondoChallenge, so whether you are teaching children, working in an orphanage, volunteering with community project or backpacking on your career break travels..... It also is suitable for all the countries our career break programmes are based: India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tanzania, Gambia, Senegal, Chile, Ecuador and Romania.
